Build your dome, layer by layer

3D: drag to rotate, scroll or pinch to zoom. In Explore mode, click a block to jump to its layer.

Layer plan: the exact blocks for the selected Y level. The gold band in 3D shows this layer.

Progress: mark individual blocks or a whole layer. Green means built. Undo restores the previous state.

Keyboard: focus the plan. Page Up / Down changes layers; arrows select a cell and Enter marks it. R resets the camera.

In the layer plan, X runs left to right and Z runs top to bottom. All coordinates start at zero.

How to build a Minecraft dome

Start with the widest layer

Choose an outside diameter from 1 to 128 blocks. The dome is a hemisphere: its height is half the diameter, rounded up to a whole block. A 31-block dome has 16 build layers, from Y 0 to Y 15.

Begin with layer 1, the widest footprint. Hollow domes leave the interior empty; wall thickness grows inward. Choose Open base for a roof or greenhouse, or With floor to fill the bottom layer. A solid dome includes every interior block.

Build from the ground up

Switch to Layer plan to see exact block positions at the selected Y level. Mark individual blocks or mark the whole layer built, then move up. Undo reverses the last action. Save project keeps your settings, selected layer and progress on this device.

Check the curve in 3D

Full dome shows the finished shape. Cutaway reveals the inside and any floor. Build shows only the blocks up to the selected layer. These display modes keep the material count and full exports unchanged.

Export a clear building plan

Layer PNG and SVG include the layer number, Y height and block count. Layer CSV exports only that height; complete CSV and Java .mcfunction include the whole dome. The Java function places blocks relative to its execution position. Plans work in Java and Bedrock; preview textures come from Minecraft Java 1.21.5.
